Dearest all

My working life comes very much in two parts and I am hugely blessed in both. The work that I do with Fascinating Aida of which I am immensely proud, sharing the stage with my great friends and colleagues of many years, Dillie Keane and Adele Anderson, and the work I do as a solo performer surrounded by the finest group of musicians a girl could possibly ask for, all of whom, to a man, have become my great friends and colleagues. We have all been thwarted in our creative endeavours this year and the emotional effect for everyone in our industry has been huge, but on a far more practical level, the financial implications have been enormous. 

There have been many wonderful organisations attempting to step into the chasm of support left by the government and Help Musicians UK are just one of them.

To this end, my friends and I have gotten together (well, I say together, actually hundreds of miles apart and all in our various tiers) and we have produced a little Christmas song and video. We did it to help raise money and awareness for those musicians who are really struggling this Christmas but also, selfishly, we did it out of a sheer desire to make some music together, to end 2020, this extraordinary year of artistic aspic, with something beautiful. It was good for our hearts to create this and I hope it is good for yours to watch it!
